The Hublersburg Inn Equipment Methods and Protocol

Equipment Used For Study One

Three Sony PX333 audio recorders monitored in real time

RT-EVP recorder monitored in real time

Panasonic QR-100 audio recorder for live playback

Olympus Audio recorder stationary on second floor - this recorder stopped recording 1 hour and 35 minutes into the study for an unknown reason

Olympus Audio recorder stationary on first floor

Sony HandyCam with night vision

Full Spectrum Camera for still shots and video

Infra Red Camera for still shots

Several full color digital cameras

Ovilus III

MEL METER to measure EMF during Ovilus Session and events related to claims

KII Meter only to measure corresponding EMF spikes during audio sessions with the person leading the session and also during the Ovilus Session and events related to claims

REM POD

Stealth Infra Red Game Cam with motion detection - this could not be used during the entire study because of constant battery drain

Methods and Protocol For Study One

Full color still photos were taken of entire location before the start of the study as a reference. Additional photos were taken before, during, and after sessions.

An audio test was done prior to beginning the study so we had a good idea how sound travels inside through the Inn.

Non interactive observation sessions were done on both the first floor and second floor to get a good idea of natural sounds inside the building for reference during review. This was also done during times where we were hearing whistling or knocks and bangs as well as seeing shadows to observe the area.

Questions for answer sessions were done based on the "practitioner circuit" theory. See http://atransc.org/theory/white_paper-evp.htm for more information.

A "trigger session" with both an instrumental recording of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and also one of our investigators singing while pausing for the next line of the song was done to attempt to induce a response through events on the second floor. This method was chosen because it was part of the claims.

An Ovilus Session was done on the second floor in an area where EMF were frequent and steady. This was added onsite when we discovered that the Ovilus was responding in phonetic mode. A KII Meter and MEL Meter were used to compare the EMF to the Ovilus output. This is also mentioned at http://atransc.org/theory/white_paper-evp.htm under the heading "Environmental control of speech synthesis".

All audio sessions were done using multiple audio recorders. Wherever team members were located during the session, at least one audio recorder was with them to cross reference audio during review.

This study was done "lights on" with the exception of the first floor because the Inn was closed for the night.

Equipment Used For Study Two

Three Sony PX333 audio recorders monitored in real time

RT-EVP recorder monitored in real time

Olympus Audio recorder stationary on second floor

H4n audio recorder stationary on first floor

Sony HandyCam with night vision

Full Spectrum Camera for still shots and video

Infra Red Camera for still shots

Several full color digital cameras

Ovilus III

MEL METER to measure EMF during Ovilus Session

KII Meter only to measure corresponding EMF spikes during our sessions

Methods and Protocol For Study Two

Full color still photos were taken of entire location before the start of the study as a reference. Additional photos were taken before, during, and after sessions.

Several ITC Video Sessions were done based on techniques found on the Association TransCommunication website. http://atransc.org/techniques/recording_visual_itc.htm

The mock employee interview sessions were done because we noticed during witness interviews that some of the claims seemed to happen during times of change, specifically personnel changes. These sessions were an attempt to promote communication or events through a perception of change with interviews for a waitress, chef, and bartender.

Additional Questions for answer sessions were done based on the "practitioner circuit" theory. See http://atransc.org/theory/white_paper-evp.htm for more information.

A follow up "trigger session" of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star was done to attempt to induce a response through events on the second floor. This method was chosen because it was part of the claims.

A follow up Ovilus Session was done on the second floor in an area where EMF were frequent and high on the first night.

This study was also done "lights on" with the exception of the first floor because the Inn was closed for the night.
